It’s an offence that is criminal banking institutions, credit unions and other people within the financing company to charge a yearly interest in excess of 60%. Yet numerous or even many lenders that are payday this price once interest charges and fees are combined. It’s a slippery situation that the government hopes to handle with Bill C-26.
